Snoring when sleeping problem?

Posted by admin on August 23 2010 6 Commented

Is there any way to stop snoring when I am sleeping? I need more like a tips, solutions or anything except for suggesting me do the surgery. I know the surgery can solve the problem but I’m searching for more lighter solutions…tips would be perfect!

Two ways at the drug store! Either those nose strips that go over the bridge of your nose. (Breathe Right)
Or, Snore-Stop.
Both work real well. Ask the pharmacist if you have any questions. They’re really smart and helpful.
Good luck! :)

Lose weight. If not that then see a sleep doctor and probably end up with a CPAC machine.

Drops, sprays, gargles, straps all a bunch of crap.

There is a way that you could do that is cheaper. You should try something called Breathe RIght nasal strips. This can keep the airway open when you’re sleeping. If this doesn’t work, then ask your doctor to send you for a sleep test, as you might have sleep apnea. If you have this, then there is this machine that you can get that will help you to stop snoring.

    Try the nose strips.

Can I ask you a few questions? Do you wake up in the middle of the night because of your snoring? Do you often wake up feeling out of breath, and sometimes can’t go back to sleep? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of them, there may be a bigger problem here.

You may have sleep apnea. This is when you stop breathing in your sleep. Snoring is just one of the signs of it. It occurs mainly in people with larger sized necks and people who are over-weight, but isn’t limited to them. Anyone can have it basically.

I suggest you research it a bit more, and if you think you may have it, get a sleep study done. They can fix it and you won’t have a sleepless night or snoring problem ever again!

    Good luck!

Have you tried those Breathe Right strips? They are put on your nose to open the nares. I also have heard of people sewing a tennis ball into the back of a T-shirt so they wouldn’t lay on their backs because you usually snore while on your back. Another thing, are you over-weight? If so, losing a few pounds can really help the situation. If all else fails, see a Pulmonologist. They can order a machine that you sleep with that keeps the airway open so you won’t snore. I hope this helps and Good luck!

The nasal strips didn’t work for me – I use a product called Slumber Guard -it works well.
