Does anyone know a cure for snoring?

snore stop

Jimmy- You asked this same question several times today so here is the complete answer.

Chronic snoring is a syptom of airwflow obstruction and sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a severe problem. At the stop of the snore is a pause in breathing. You actually stop breathing and your body does not get enough oxygen. It cause severe discrutpion of sleep. It can lead to car accidents, high blood pressure, stroke, and even death.

The most common treatment of OSA is cpap. Dental devices work for some. If you know exactly where the obstruction is (usually they do not know or there are many places) such as a deviated septum or tonsils/adnoids surgical removal works. If the person is overweight, weight loss may help but need to be treated in the mean time. However, even thin people and children can have sleep apnea. Other treatments especially over the counter do not work for sleep apnea. It many decrease the sound of the snoring but the problem still exists. Also there is a need to avoid sedatives and alcohol as this can magnify the problem.

I used to snore and now use cpap. It has changed my life. I no longer am tired all the time and have energy. My health has improved.

The first thing that needs to be done is a sleep study. Remember this is a disease.

Hope this helps.
