there are a number of possible reasons including sleep apnia, being overweight, a respiratory problem or even somethiing as simple as your pillows being too high.

best bet is to see your doctor who will refer you to a sleep specialist

The other answer is right – you probably have sleep apnea. There are machines which you wear at night that will stop this. Also, losing weight will stop it. These are the only two ways that successfully stop snoring. By ignoring the snoring, you run the risk of your wife (if you have one) moving into another bedroom because she cannot sleep, you are getting poor quality of sleep and you are putting yourself at risk for a heart attack at an early age. Get this treated.

Ask your doc to set you up for a sleep study. You could have obstructive sleep apnea. Google it to get some good info.

Your oxygen level can drop significantly throughout the night and can make you feel horrible throughout the day, tired, lethargic, no energy…all because you aren’t getting enough oxygen nor good quality sleep at night. Losing weight (if you are overweight) can help. If you have OSA, you may qualify for a CPAP machine which will help significantly! See your doc. Hope this helps.

I have sleep apnea, snoring was at it worst. Since I used CPAP, my wife no longer complain about snoring. Yes, it is a serious condition if you have sleep apnea, it is link to heart disease and high blood pressure.

You should see a sleep doctor or ENT doctor ASAP. The doctor will determine if snoring is a sign of sleep apnea.
